My name is Michael Vander Plaats. I'm a videographer, editor, director, producer, and owner of Van's Media Company in Lafayette, Indiana.

For over half a decade, I've practiced, studied, and worked in all positions under the media umbrella. During my time at Lafayette Jefferson High School, I thrived within the Radio and TV department; producing short films, music videos, live broadcasts, radio shows, and much more. After graduating, I went on to work as Technical Director of the production team for the Lafayette Aviators during the 2024 season.

My career has led me to the pleasure of working on promotional video for the Lafayette School Corporation, Lafayette Police Department, Lafayette Aviators, and much more. 

​

Today, I look to the local community as a place to grow in my abilities. Van's Media Company is the first stepping stone in a legacy I hope to build to enormous heights on behalf of God's will. I believe that my unique combination and understanding of video, music, and visuals enacts a visceral and spiritual response that's never been fully explored before. It's through this gift that I hope to acheieve these great goals!
